Kerri Foster is the founder and owner of Foster Fastpitch and Foster Fastpitch Academy, Alabama’s premier organization dedicated to training softball players. Kerri was a four-year starter at Hoover High School, winning two state championships and going on to become an All Conference pitcher for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. For the past 20 years, she has been providing pitching and hitting instruction and currently teaches 60 students ranging in age from 6 - 21. As a player, she received personal pitching instruction from Ernie Parker, Vann Stuedeman (Mississippi State), and Angela Thompson. As an instructor, she has trained with Kayla Holas (University of Houston) and Sharon O’mara, who has significant international experience with the Venezuelan Women’s Team and the Australian Junior National Team. In addition to teaching, Foster also coached top level travel teams. Her 18U Gold Team, the Alabama Crusaders, was the first in Alabama history to earn a berth to ASA Gold Nationals where the team finished 17th and 25th in respective years.


Kerri is widely recognized as an accomplished and effective instructor. Kerri works with college pitchers to prepare them for their college seasons. To name a few, University of Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, UAB, UAH, Jacksonville State, South Alabama, and many others. Many of her students have continued their love for the game as College/ High School coaches and playing internationally and in the NPF. She is known for her ability to increase speed through focusing on injury prevention and proper mechanics. Her easy-to-understand explanation and ability to teach “feeling the pitch” helps her students master speed and spin quickly. Her 20 years of experience plays a vital role in quickly receiving the “buy-in” of the student and eliminating the time it takes for change to occur.
